Actually there's more than 8ft.... it's just that its no longer attached to the boat, just dumped in the hold as ballast :)

Passin' Thru was named by the previous owners. I quite like the name and it would cost a fortune to get it signwritten again.

Crikey, perhaps I've chosen the wrong name then with 13 letters... :P

Just as well you don't moor at Bow Locks then.

I actually saw a boat named Bow Locks for sale at Harral Brokerage just after christmas. I was tempted to make an offer but someone else beat me to it!

Yes we have seen Bow Locks out and about probably a couple of years ago. My daughter could not believe her eyes.

From what I heard from harral brokerage sadly the couple that owned it had it repossessed. Which is why it was for sale at a low price!

Is it something to do with the way you walk?

We named our last boat 'Batto' because I was a French master and it was a boat.
Our current one we called 'Trojan' for a couple of reasons: she has a livery based on the tugs of Chance & Hunt of Oldbury which were named 'Stentor' and 'Hector' (from memory) so it perpetuates the ancient Greek theme. Also, at the time when she was built I was doing a lot of work for Trojan records, a reggae music record label. That's why instead of the eye of Osiris she has a Trojan helmet motif, which is the logo of Trojan Records.

Ours is called 'Kindred Spirits'

Definition is..

a person who shares beliefs, attitudes, feelings, or features with another.

My wife and I have been together since our junior school days .
It seemed quite appropriate for us.
